Installation instructions

This clutch kit is the ultimate kit for the Polaris General model. It offers awesome belt grip, hard pulling acceleration, lighting fast back shifting, totally eliminates belt slap, much cooler belt temps, and adjustability.

This is the exact same kit that we use in our ECU tune kit. Several years of testing and evolution had brought us to this setup.

The clutch weights will come pre-set for your machine based on the information you provide on the order.

2022 General 1000 XP clutch kit review

Clutch kit works great. Initial weight set up was 33211. I was running the stock Polaris belt and the engine was over revving to 8800 RPMs. I reset the weights to 33222 and installed diamond core belt and the RPMs dropped to 8400. Overall drivability is great. Smooth engagement.

Super easy install didn’t take more than an hour and the fact I can do a wheelie now was totally worth it!!!!

My General with 30” tires lost all of its ratcheting noises when starting out. Just silky smooth. Back shifting is phenomenal, almost like ebs, no brakes going down steep inclines ,clutch stays in gauged . Awesome. Feels like an extra 20 hp too. Total different machine. Money well spent!

2022 General 1000 XP clutch kit review

The clutch kit seems better. Engagement is more precise and smooth. A smidge higher engagement then stock. Approx 2000 RPMs. The XP seems a bit quicker and more responsive. However the engine is overrevving to 8800 RPMs. I am running the stock belt. Current set up is 3,3,2,1,1. I will add more weight positions 4 & 5. One magnet each. See if I can get the RPMs to around 8500 RPMs. Overall a pretty nice set up.
