The RZR 900 ECU tune and clutch kit combo totally rocks! The ECU tune is pump gas friendly and the most aggressive trail version reflash currently offered by Gilomen Innovations for the 900cc RZR models. It offers a 10.2 HP gain over stock. All engine protections are left in place so your engine stays running safe. Fuel and timing maps revised for peak performance on pump gas. I have found that Polaris has their factory tuning designed in order to pass strict EPA testing. The revised timing and fuel maps allow the engine to make more power with cooler piston crown and valve temps. The cooling fan on temp is lowered from 205F to 190F degrees to keep your engine running cooler and lasting longer. Rev limiter is raised to 9200 RPM, Speed limiter in high gear is eliminated, Speed limiter in low gear raised to 45 MPH. Speeds can exceed 88 MPH with this tune. Clutch: The stock clutch calibration on all 900 RZR models is lazy and has much room for improvement. Our Elite Shift clutch kit offers very smooth take off and is designed to allow the engine to run at the proper RPM where it performs the best. The kit consists of primary weights, spring and detailed instructions. Our ECU tune/clutch kit packages come with an Elite Shift clutch kit or you can chose to go with our BlackMax adjustable clutch kit. If you are running larger than 29" tires you will need to purchase the Mudder Secondary Spring which will squeeze the drive belt harder preventing belt slippage. If you are someone that likes to test/tune and play with different setups then I recommend purchasing a set of our BlackMax adjustable clutch weights. The BlackMax adjustable clutch weights allow you to add or remove weight in order to raise or lower the engine operating rpm. The adjustable clutch weights are popular for large tire builds, competition use, and high elevation use. We also offer the BlackMax adjustable weights in a kit that includes the weights, primary spring and an option secondary spring for larger than 29" tires. It is also an option to chose the BlackMax adjustable kit in our ECU tuning packages.
The stock secondary clutch that comes on the 2015 900 models is the cheap Rapid Reaction throw away clutch. These clutches are know to fail because of the cheap design and cause bet slippage in extreme use conditions. I recommend installing our HD Team Tied secondary clutch if you want the absolute strongest and best performing secondary clutch available for the 900 RZR!
If you have a 2016+ 900 RZR then you have the factory BOSS secondary clutch which comes with square pucks as a friction point in the clutch. The pucks cause a tremendous amount of wear on the clutch and will eventually destroy the clutch. I highly recommend you replace the square pucks with our super high quality composite rollers. Performance and longevity is much better with these rollers installed. If your secondary clutch is shot or you just want to upgrade to a much higher quality clutch then I suggest our HD Team Tied roller clutch.
Belt: The stock Polaris belt is weak and jerky. It cannot handle any type of stress or abuse. I have found the G-Boost BadAss belt to be the absolute best performing, smoothest, and longest lasting belt on the market. I highly recommend installing one!!!
