Description

This shim is specifically designed to lockout the EBS helix function on the P90X primary clutch that comes factory on the 2018+ Gen 2 new body style Ranger 1000 models. I have discovered the EBS (engine braking system) can be too aggressive for many people and is causing premature belt failure when going down very steep hills so I came up with a solution. By installing this shim you will eliminate the side loading function of the EBS roller. This saves a lot for wear on your belt and lessens the EBS effect so your machine will coast more when decelerating below 10mph. It does not totally disable the EBS but it lessens the effectiveness of it by 65%. It also eliminates EBS belt wear and smoking the belt when decelerating down a steep hill. If you have noticed smoke that smells like burnt rubber when you go down a steep hill or your belt is tremendously worn on the inside edge then this shim is a must for you.

    Seems to have done the job, after a big ride in a combination of water, mud, sand and rock climbing, my rig developed a problem shifting. This shim took care of that issue, it was obvious that it was hanging up, but not any more.

    They didn’t only send me the shims in the lock out EBS shim they also sent me in detail how to put it back together my clutch this product is amazing and this company is amazing they have a customer life A happy customer billy buck

    To early for good review because I’ve only driven Ranger a couple times. But, so far it seems to be doing ok. The engine breaking is less and enjoyable. The install was very easy. Removing and installing cover sucks!! Give me a month and ask for another review

    This is a must for your ranger. It should be part of the update that Polaris dealers do to the drive clutch. Don’t hesitate pull the trigger you need this part. Just like everyone else reviewed.

    Easy install fit as it should, seems to have fit hard shift problems. May need to adjust shift cable

    instructions should say to remove the entire clutch before install I tryed to install along with the new weights almost impossable to keep balanced if you dont but works great shifting is 90% better
